I'm new to Flickr, but have used Photobucket for several years and have used it for work and play.
One obvious application would be in the showing of a home for sale. Take the pictures, upload them and give the folder's link to prospective buyers.

Wikilicious Thing

OK, feeling a little less cynical today.

I LOVE wikis, accuracy notwithstanding. I love using them for quick reference, but might not trust them for that Trivial Pursuit answer that I'm stuck on.

Banning a wiki for reference makes sense if 'facts' reported in them are not referenced in a bibliography.


Specific edit: I made a correction in the Wikipedia article on Nivek Ogre/Kevin Ogilvie.

My first thought is, "isn't this just a message board?"

Thing 6: Digg & Reddit...[et al].

Seriously? There is nothing of worth here other than the ability to further tap into the tabloidism of our society. Didn't I just say that? There are far more worthy things to tackle on the internet than this garbage.

I know what Twitter is and does, and I do not approve. It's instantaneous tabloidism. Non-me, dig?

Got it. Been using Myspace for...lessee...four years? Facebook is my nubile social network. Refuse to use Twitter. Nope. Not going to do it.

Email Thrills

Looks like I got this one done a while ago. So far the excitement has been limited to locating my transcripts.

In other email news, I refuse to use Yahoo! anymore.

Hey! Let's add a bunch of extra crap, but continue to use the same slow, crappy software we've always used!

To be fair, I always much preferred their system of organization over gmail.
